Yes, on board the plane there was someone who had a rather obvious link to the Sept. 11th attacks – but what really concerns me is Mr. Olbermann’s rhetoric surrounding the actual crash. How many years will it be until we can talk about a plane crash without someone making sure they pay homage to those who lost their lives on 9/11/01? I mean dear god – it is a good thing the hijackers didn’t use cars because we’d never stop hearing about it. A plane crashed. It was not hijaked, it was not in any way anything other than an accident, so why are we talking about 9/11?
Mr. Olbermann evidently thinks he gets some sort of points every time he mentions the 9/11 victims in a sympathetic light. Well, sir, maybe that works on some dimwitted religious nut cases out there, but for the rest of us, it is just really old. It shows our maturity as a society that when bad things happen, we take the appropriate measures and then we move on. There are too many useless deaths out there to wallow in – we have to, have to – respect them but move on.
So, Keith – I guess what I’m trying to say is: grow up.
