Big Brother Dell

12 07 2006

This is the story of a man and a computer.

A guy bought a new Dell computer and opened it up to do some repair work. What he found was a key-logger that was connected to his Ethernet card. Every keystroke he made was being sent . . . somewhere. He called Dell and they obviously didn’t tell him anything useful. He called the police – and they told him he should contact the Department of Homeland Security. He did this, and they denied his request for information.

If true, this is an example of gross abuse of power and is very illegal. Caution to Dell owners.
